Llama Llama Mad at Mama
by Anna Dewdney

Songs:

Happy Llama, Sad Llama Chant

Happy llama
Sad llama
Totally rad llama
Super llama
Drama llama
Big fat mama llama
Moose
Camel
Fish

Follow the actions in the song, except I did "moose" by making antlers with my hands by touching my thumbs to my head and leaving my hands extended.  "Camel" turn the antlers into fists for ears.  And "fish" you put your hands flat on either side of your mouth and make fish "lips".

Craft:

L is for Llama

Copy or trace the attached pattern onto the paper of your choice.  Cut out the pieces, and paste onto another sheet of paper.  Let the children add llama "hair" by gluing on pieces of yarn.

Black bat, black bat fly around
Black bat, black bat touch the ground
Black bat, black bat fly up high
Black bat, black bat touch the sky

Children can pretend to be bats with scarves and "fly".

For calm evening bats try:

Songs:

Hello, My Name Is Joe
(chant)
Hello, my name is Joe.
And I work in a button factory.
I have a home and a job and a family.
One day my boss says to me,
"Hey Joe, are you busy?"
I said, "No".
"Okay, turn the button with your right hand."

Rhythmically turn right hand while chanting rhyme and add cumulative movements.

Turn the button with your left hand.
Push the button with your right foot.
Push the button with your left foot.
Push the button with your head.
Push the button with your tongue.
